New!

Dave Teruel

Very early in life, God called Dave into ministry. Upon completion of his Bachelor’s degree from the School of Religion at Bob Jones University, Dave interned at Community Bible Church in Powdersville, South Carolina. He was ordained to ministry and enrolled in the Reformed Theological Seminary of Charlotte where he completed a Master of Arts in Theological Studies. In God’s amazing providence and kindness, Dave met his wife Marjorie in 1996 and they were married in 1997. They served in their local church until God called them to become involved in a church plant in the city of Toronto where they served for almost two years before transitioning the church to a local pastor. Shortly thereafter, God called them to Westwood Church where they have been serving the last 4 years. Dave’s prayer and passion is to encourage believers to pursue the preeminence of Christ in all aspects of their lives since it is in and through Christ alone that they receive Spirit of God and know God the Father (1Corinthians 1:28-31). Dave and Marjorie have three very special gifts from God, Gabriel, Seth, and Anna. Soli Deo Gloria.

“God chose what is low and despised in the world, even things that are not, to bring to nothing things that are, so that no human being might boast in the presence of God. And because of him you are in Christ Jesus, who became to us wisdom from God, righteousness and sanctification and redemption, so that, as it is written, ‘Let the one who boasts, boast in the Lord.’” (1Corinthians 1:28-31 ESV)

in your presence there is fullness of joy;

at your right hand are pleasures forevermore.”

Charles Cavanaugh

There will never cease to be a need for the older and wiser men who have gone before. As a father, husband, and former pastor, Pastor Cavanaugh brings depth and the faithful exposition of God’s word. He longs to see the next generation pursing Christ with a burning passion. His willingness to listen and give counsel from the word of God is priceless, and we know what value he brings to the table at P4C. His steadiness of vision is the leadership we need. “So even to old age and gray hairs,

O God, do not forsake me,

until I proclaim your might to another generation,

your power to all those to come.”

Daniel Cavanaugh

Daniel is the man who makes everything happen: Keeps us on time, lends a listening ear, encourages, leads our worship, and preaches Christ faithfully. His heart is for His generation to love and pursue God more passionately than the previous one. He gives 110% to P4C and loves every minute. We are so glad he will be bringing the word to us again. “Let no one despise you for your youth,

but set the believers an example in speech,

in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity.”

Pam Cavanaugh

As always, it is a privilege to have Mrs. Cavanaugh speak to the young ladies. She brings so much energy, heart, and understanding to whatever she speaks on. She engages the young ladies where they are at and is a wonderful listener to those who need to talk. Always a favorite, P4C simply would not be the same without her! “An excellent wife who can find?

She is far more precious than jewels.

The heart of her husband trusts in her,

and he will have no lack of gain.”

Micah Cavanaugh

Laughter is truly medicine, and Micah gives us plenty of doses. As our announcement extraordinaire and story teller, Micah will be returning this year for our half time show at the volleyball tournament and story time around the fire. He reminds us that life is fun and is worth some laughter. His passion for Christ, the gospel, and the next generation pursuing it is deeply evident. P4C would not be the same without him! “And he shall stand and shepherd his flock in the strength of the Lord,

in the majesty of the name of the Lord his God.

And they shall dwell secure, for now he shall be great

to the ends of the earth.”
